LESOTHO
Based on the Client’s needs, we aspire to develop a self-sustaining township at Masianokeng, Lesotho that comprises of a residential component of affordable homes, industrial component of small to mid-size enterprises, educational component of elementary and high schools, vernacular architecture, administrative, agricultural and recreational components, transportation hub, water, electricity and sewer systems, and many more.
The established township shall be a self-generating economy, self-sustainable and culturally responsible. The site is situated in Masianokeng (Suburb of Maseru urban Area), its East and West side predominantly consist of low-rise residential and mixed-used development, while North is a privately owned recreational park and South is surrounded by agriculture land plots. The cluster of residential village shall also circulate the core of the township, forming a radial and hierarchical emphasis. Among each residential village, there will be designated plot of land for agricultural activities, to foster economic and community sustainability. The internal circulation of the residential village, incorporates combined vehicular and pedestrian movement, by restricting vehicular speed limits.
